UV Flatbed Printer Maintenance

1. Make sure the environment around the UV flatbed printer is clean. Too much dust in the working environment can easily lead to poor lubrication of the trolley guide shaft, which will hinder the movement of the print head during printing, cause inaccurate printing positions, or cause damage to the machine frame and crash. When the print head is turned on without returning to the initial position, the printer will first return the print head to the initial position, and then perform the cleaning operation of the print head, so unnecessary waste of ink will be caused. The solution to this problem is to often wipe off the dust on the guide shaft and lubricate the guide shaft (select a lubricating oil with good fluidity, such as sewing machine oil).
2. Make sure that the UV flatbed printer has a stable working platform. Do not place anything on top of the UV flatbed printer. The printer must close its front cover when printing to prevent dust from entering the machine or other hard objects hindering the movement of the printer cart. Do not plug or unplug the printer cable while power is on. This will damage the printer's print port and the parallel port of the PC, and even seriously damage the motherboard of the PC. If the printout is not clear, you can use the printer's automatic cleaning function to clean the print head, but consume a small amount of ink. If the print is still not satisfactory after several cleanings, the ink may be used up at this time, and the ink cartridge needs to be replaced.
3. Before shutting down, return the print head to the initial position (the printer will automatically return to the initial position when the printer is in the pause state). This is done to avoid waste of ink when the printer restarts the cleaning nozzle operation when the printer is turned on next time, and because the nozzle can be sealed by the protective cover at the initial position, making the nozzle difficult to block.
4. The ink cartridge needs to be calibrated frequently: Users who have experience in using the printer know that the printer must be calibrated after the printer is reinstalled or replaced with a new ink cartridge to improve printing accuracy and print quality.
5. When the ink cartridge is not used up, it is better not to remove it, so as not to cause waste of ink or printer's incorrect measurement of ink.
6. When the ink cartridge is not used for a long time, it should be placed at room temperature to avoid direct sunlight. Because the ink evaporates quickly in this environment, it is easy to cause nozzle clogging. In addition, in low temperature and humid environments, the print head circuit and ink are prone to problems.
7. Be sure to follow the steps in the operation manual when replacing the ink cartridges. Pay special attention to the above operations with the power on. Because after the ink cartridge is replaced, the printer will refill the ink delivery system, and this process cannot be performed when the printer is turned off, and the printer cannot detect the reinstalled ink cartridge. In addition, some printers measure the ink volume using an electronic counter inside the printer (especially for the statistics of the amount of color ink used). When the counter reaches a certain value, the printer determines that the ink is exhausted. During the cartridge replacement process, the printer will reset its internal electronic counter to confirm that a new cartridge is installed.
8. In addition, the grating strips of UV flatbed printers must also be well protected. Do not touch them with your hands and do not allow them to contaminate the dust to prevent inaccurate positioning.
